The second half of February is going to be busy for this geek grrl! I am presenting three times in one week, then capping that off with a trip to Seattle, WA to see friends and attend SQL Saturday #108. Cannot. Wait!

I-380 Corridor (East Iowa) SQL Server User Group
I’ll be presenting via Live Meeting for my friends in East Iowa. Hopefully someone there brings construction paper and crayons!

Learn about the different ways you can share your experience and knowledge. Once you start teaching others, you’ll realize how much knowledge you have! This session will cover how to use LinkedIn, Twitter, forums, and blogging to extend your reach.

I’m going to be live on the internet! This will be my first presentation for the Performance VC and I’m excited about it.
Filegroups: Putting The Pieces Together Every DBA must know how to create and maintain filegroups because they affect performance, maintenance, and security of your data. What are filegroups, and how do you use them? In this session, I’ll show you how to create filegroups, create objects in them, move objects to them, perform maintenance, and walk through piecemeal restores.

I hope you can find some time to grab a beer and join me for one of these presentations! (I recommend any of the New Glarus beers.)
