SQL Server Code Name “Denali” CTP3 is available for download. You can get it here: https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pd/SQLDCTP3CTA/enus/default.aspx
There are a bunch of new things in this CTP, Apollo (column store indexes), some new date functions, new parse functions and more goodies
Be advised that you need Internet Explorer to download CTP3, it requires the Download Manager which is invoked via an ActiveX control. I could not get the download to work with Chrome
Denis has been working with SQL Server since version 6.5. Although he worked as an ASP/JSP/ColdFusion developer before the dot com bust, he has been working exclusively as a database developer/architect since 2002. In addition to English, Denis is also fluent in Croatian and Dutch, but he can curse in many other languages and dialects (just ask the SQL optimizer) He lives in Princeton, NJ with his wife and three kids.
