The biggest problem you have as a webdeveloper is that you have to check everything in like a thousand different browsers. But the biggest few will do. Internet explorer is one of the most important ones since it is still the biggest and most used. And it comes in three flavors. The good (IE8), the reasonable (IE7) and your worst nightmare (IE6). Win 7 makes it real easy to run all three on the same machine.
I would suggest reading the article "Run IE6, IE7, and IE8 on the Same Machine Using Windows 7 XP Mode"...
Well now that we have the engine installed. We sometimes also want the GUI tools to go with it.
I would recommend a reboot however. That's what made it work for me.
Let's go to the Microsoft download page again and find the install button.

Today I was planning on upgrading my work development machine to win 7, I already installed it at home and I like it much better than Vista.
So I have Vista x64 at work, the Dutch version. I have no idea why I ever chose the Dutch version for this machine but I did it and there is no turning back now. I made a mistake and I will have to suffer for it.
Because I decided to install the English version, which makes for easier googling if you ever get an error, Win7 decided ...
